Our group will be capping membership to a maximum of 30 members, so that we can keep a friendly atmosphere and everyone will get a hands-on approach. The group takes part in varied events throughout the year, usually one every 6 weeks, from private events on M.O.D and private land to public events like 40's weekends on certain steam railway lines and multi period re-enactment events, throughout the United Kingdom and overseas.
You may be wondering how much does all this cost? It can be a bit expensive when you first start to buy your equipment but once you have, it should last a lifetime if you look after it properly. We don't expect you purchase all your equipment at once; we can lend out gear to new members for a few events till you have the bare essentials. All safety procedures will be taught to you, including how to handle the weapons in the correct fashion.
How old do I have to be to join? You would have to be at least 20 years old and physically fit, there isn't a maximum age but do take into account that you can be climbing, crawling and walking a good few miles over a weekend and also carrying your equipment including ammunition and weapon. Members will not be accepted with long hair, pony tails and full beards. This is due to our accurate portrayal of German soldiers of the period.
We are a small friendly group, who come together to have some fun and talk about the hobby we enjoy. We have a great social scene, both at shows and other events. Membership is £30.00 per year, this allows you to attend any events that we do and also access to a monthly online newsletter. The membership fee also covers the group insurance for public liability. |
